Teens in Gulfport Bus Beating Plead Guilty

Three teenagers who brutally beat a 13-year-old boy on a school bus pleaded guilty to aggravated battery in juvenile court on Thursday. A third teenager also pleaded guilty to robbery.

The victim in the case was attending summer school at Lealman Intermediate School when he was approached by two of the boys, who asked him if he wanted to buy marijuana. The victim told a teacher, and was later beaten by the two boys who were sitting behind him on the school bus.

The incident was caught on video and went viral, drawing particular attention from former Rep. Allen West, who demanded national attention to the issue.

I continue to hear silence on the case of the three black teenagers who viciously attacked the younger white teen on the school bus in Gulfport, Fla., West wrote onFacebookearlier this month. What amazes me is no one is analyzing the lack of adult responsibility. No one is asking, especially not the usual race baiters, so I figured I would.

The judge will decide their sentence, but two Juvenile Justice officials have recommended that two of them be given probation.
