More bad news for Trey Radel: Republican Party of Florida Chairman Lenny Curry has joined others in urging the Fort Myers congressman to resign. Last week, word broke out that Radel had been arrested for possession of cocaine at the end of October in Washington, D.C. Radel, who was elected to the House of Representatives in 2012, pleaded guilty to the charge last Wednesday and was sentenced to a year of probation.

Gov. Rick Scott offered his comments on President Barack Obama's interim deal with Iran on Monday, expressing his disapproval over it. President Obamas nuclear deal with Iran does nothing to stop the countrys pursuit of nuclear weapons," said Scott. "The deal relieves Iran from economic sanctions while allowing them to continue to enrich uranium. Gov. Rick Scott will be joining Hertz on Tuesday to break ground on their new headquarters in Florida, according to a press release from the governor's office. Rental car company Hertz will be moving its headquarters from Park Ridge, N.J., to Estero, Fla. "This is truly the largest economic event in Lee County's history and we've been established since 1887; that is no understatement," said Lee County Commissioner Frank Mann.

Support for President Barack Obama is falling in polls everywhere. In a recent Rasmussen Reports poll, Obama's leadership rating took a hit, with over half of likely American voters rating his leadership as either fair or poor. This number includes 44 percent who view Obama as a poor leader and 16 percent who see him as a fair leader. Only 20 percent said they rated Obama's leadership as excellent. The same amount said his leadership was good.
