The U.S. is looking to continue its role with the International Space Station (ISS) for almost another decade. This week, the U.S. Senate passed the “U.S. Commercial Space Launch Competitiveness Act" by unanimous consent with two Republican presidential candidates playing a key part in getting it through. 

Rick Swearingen Takes Over FDLE on Full-Time Basis

The Florida Cabinet on Wednesday approved Rick Swearingen taking over as commissioner of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). Swearingen, a veteran of more than 30 years with FDLE, had been leading the FDLE on an interim basis since December.

Two key Democrats from Florida went separate ways on Tuesday over backing President Barack Obama’s deal with Iran on that nation’s nuclear program. U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., took to the Senate floor and said he would back Obama’s agreement. Nelson had been on the fence on supporting the Iran deal.
