Carol Probstfeld New Chair of Florida College System Council of Presidents

President Carol Probstfeld of the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota is now the chairwoman of the Council of Presidents for the Florida College System, replacing President Jim Henningsen from the College of Central Florida.

Probstfeld will serve in her new post for a year.

"I am honored to be selected by my peers to represent them as this year's chair of the Council of Presidents,” Probstfeld said on Wednesday. “This is one of the best community college systems in the nation and all 28 schools do incredible things for our students, communities and workforce partners every day."
