Florida Ends 148-Year Old Ban on Unmarried Cohabitation

Unmarried couples can now legally live together in the Sunshine State. 

The statewide ban on cohabitation is officially over after Gov. Rick Scott signed a bill into law ending the ban on Wednesday. The legislation was part of a handful of other bills given the green light to become law in Florida this year.

Gov. Scott Signs 20 More Bills into Law

Gov. Rick Scott signed into law Wednesday a mixed bag of 20 bills, from a pilot program to locate special needs persons to a bill protecting Florida's shellfish beds. 

Also among these bills is SB 716, establishing a Holocaust memorial at the Capitol. The state Department of Management Services will build the memorial after it gets recommendations from the Florida Historical Commission. 

Obama Using Unspent Ebola Funds to Fight Zika

The Obama administration announced on Wednesday it will use $510 million penciled in to fight Ebola to combat Zika instead and rely on $89 million in other unspent funds.

Stephanopoulos: Still An Open Ethical Wound

Less than a year ago, ABC's George Stephanopoulos admitted that he had made $75,000 of undisclosed contributions to the charitable foundation/campaign operation of his former employers, Bill and Hillary Clinton. He then personally pledged he wouldn't moderate a Republican primary debate this year. But ABC News later issued a statement of support for Stephanopoulos, insisting it wouldn't take punitive action against him.
