Today Big Brother gets that little bit bigger. He gets to shield us from harm, suppress our right to know. Apparently, on the lips of a terrorist, the English language is too politically incorrect for the American people to handle.

Since the announcement of the high-speed rail train project, All Aboard Florida (AAF) has been outflanked by its opponents when it comes to public relations. But on the legal front, AAF is winning the battle.
It was a senseless tragedy; a despicable act of terror carried out by a deranged and sick human being. We are all saddened by this tragic loss of life, and mourn with the city of Orlando and all those so severely impacted by the actions of this deranged terrorist.
Let's talk about Omar Mateen's wife.
Months before the 1940 Republican convention nominated Wendell Willkie, Alice Roosevelt Longworth, Theodore Roosevelt's waspish daughter, said that Willkie's support sprang "from the grass roots of a thousand country clubs." There actually was a Republican establishment in 1940, when GOP elites created a nominee ex nihilo.
Two days before the horrific massacre in Orlando, Kim McDougal said one of the biggest challenges in her new job as Gov. Rick Scott's chief of staff is that "if it happens in Florida, I feel it … because I care about everything."
McDougal, 53, replaced Melissa Sellers as the governor's top aide in April, after serving as deputy chief of staff, legislative affairs director and education policy coordinator in Scott's administration. McDougal has a lengthy resume covering her time in state government, beginning in 1989.

Despite winning the recommendation of the Broward County chapter, Wasserman Schultz failed to get the required 2/3 votes to secure the endorsement.
Some state AFL-CIO chapters have stated there would be no endorsement of Democrats who voted in favor of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
That includes Wasserman Schultz.
You might as well know up front, I am 100 percent behind the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) recommendation to allow a bear hunt this fall.
Let me tell you why.
It's because I'm a conservationist, not a preservationist.
It's because managing animal populations isn't new. It's because I've done this before -- had this homework assignment more times as a Florida journalist than I can count. Some species or another has been dying out or coming back ever since I arrived in Florida in 1977, and I keep writing about it.
