Christian Conservative Gary Bauer Backs Bill McCollum

Former presidential candidate and national conservative leader Gary Bauer endorsed Attorney General Bill McCollum for governor on Tuesday over Republican primary rival Rick Scott. Bauer, who is now with the Campaign for Working Families PAC and the group American Values, is a vocal opponent of abortion and a staunch defender of the need for religious voices in the public square.

With less than a month until the primary election Aug. 24, Greenacres' Sen. Dave Aronberg shot down the idea of holding 11 debates with Sen. Dan Gelber of Miami Beach, his rival for the Democratic attorney general nomination.

Dave Aronberg: Dan Gelber's Call for 11 Debates 'Smacks of a Political Stunt'

With less than a month until the primary election on Aug. 24, Sen. Dave Aronberg, D-Greenacres, shot down the idea of holding 11 debates with Sen. Dan Gelber, D-Miami Beach, his rival for the Democratic attorney general nomination.

Last week, Christian Ulvert, Gelbers campaign manager sent a letter to the Aronberg campaign proposing more debates.
