Poll finds Obama's Birthplace Still a Sizeable Issue With Americans

It looks like the issue of President Barack Obamas birth certificate is not going away any time soon. CNN released a poll that found that 16 percent of all Americans think Obama was probably born in another country and 11 percentthink he definitely was. According to the poll, more than a quarter of Americans think there is a very strong possibility that Obama is constitutionally ineligible to serve as president.

Bill Clinton Will Hit the Campaign Trail for Kendrick Meek

While U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek has not been able to get President Barack Obama to campaign for him in a close battle with Jeff Greene for the Democratic nomination in the U.S. Senate race, Meeks team revealed on Thursday that former President Bill Clinton would hit the campaign trail on their behalf.

Clinton will attend three rallies for Meek on Monday, Aug. 16 -- a little over a week until the primary election on Aug. 24. The events will be held in South Florida.

Dave Aronberg's First Ad of Dem AG Race No Surprise to His Rival

With less than three weeks until the primary, the hotly contested battle for the Democratic attorney general took a turn Thursday as Sen. Dave Aronberg of Greenacres ran the first TV ad of the contest.

The ad stresses Aronbergs opposition to oil drilling and takes a shot at his opponent for the Democratic nod, Sen. Dan Gelber of Miami Beach, bringing up his ties with a law firm that represented BP.

Stimulus Fizzle for Florida Sparks Blast from Marco Rubio Camp

With a report in USA Today ranking Florida as the state least helped by the federal stimulus, the team of U.S. Senate candidate Marco Rubio is unleashing heavy fire on the Democrats who backed it -- as well as the then-Republican and now independent Gov. Charlie Crist. Crist, who is running for the Senate as well, embraced the stimulus, being one of President Barack Obamas biggest Republican supporters on the issue.
