NPR's Religion Double Standard

National Public Radio's firing of Juan Williams tells you all you need to know about the radical, and thoroughly intolerant, left. Williams is a liberal, but still, he isn't liberal enough. The idea that he would acknowledge a mere thought of discomfort at the idea of people in "Muslim garb" on airplanes in a post-9/11 world became a firing offense. It didn't matter that he prefaced it with all the perfunctory and politically correct disclaimers about not being a bigot and we shouldn't blame all Muslims for terrorism.

Mike Huckabee Supports Steve Southerland

Former Gov. Mike Huckabee announced on Thursday that he was backing Republican congressional candidate Steve Southerland in North Florida. Huckabee, who moved to Florida earlier in the year, supported Southerland through Huck PAC, an organization he is using to back Republicans across the nation. Southerland is taking on Democratic U.S. Rep. Allen Boyd.

Rasmussen Poll: Rick Scott Leads Alex Sink by 3 Points

A third poll released Thursday, this time from Rasmussen Reports, looking at the close Florida gubernatorial contest, shows Republican Rick Scott in the lead over Democrat Alex Sink -- unlike the polls released by Mason-Dixon and Quinnipiac University earlier in the day.

The Ras poll has Scott with 48 percent and state CFO Sink with 45 percent.

The poll of 750 likely voters was conducted on Oct. 27 and has a margin of error of +/- 4 percent. Scott also led a Rasmussen poll last week, 50 percent to 44 percent.

New M-D Poll: Alex Sink Leads Rick Scott By 3 Points

Mason-Dixon released a poll on Thursday showing Democratic gubernatorial candidate Alex Sink, the current state CFO, edging Republican Rick Scott. The poll of 625 likely voters has Sink with 46 percent and Scott with 43 percent, which is within the polls margin of error of +/- 4 percent. (Update from MD after Sunshine State News pressed them for the information: the poll was taken Oct. 25-27.)

Sink led by 7 points in a Mason-Dixon poll released on Sept. 23.
