Adam Putnam Looks Back at First 100 Days in Office

On Wednesday morning, state Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam released a statement with his reflections on his first 100 days in office

Putnams team called improving Floridas health and nutrition, fostering expansion of Floridas agriculture industry into renewable energy production and preserving Floridas water quality and quantity their chiefs top three priorities and also noted he was fighting to increase consumer confidence in the states seafood.

Ex-Senate Candidate Crist Apologizes on Video for Ripping Off Talking Heads

A chastened and contrite Charlie Crist has posted a YouTube video apologizing for his unauthorized use of the David Byrne song, "Road to Nowhere."

Settling a copyright dispute, the defeated U.S. Senate candidate pledges not to co-opt the work of musical artists in "any future" electoral campaigns.

Judging by Crist's obvious discomfort on camera, this surely was not the way the former People's Governor envisioned launching his post-political legal career.

Space Shuttle Atlantis Coming Home to Florida to Stay

Fifty years to the day of the first manned space orbit and 30 years to the day Columbia blasted off on the first shuttle mission, the Sunshine State celebrated the news that space shuttle Atlantis will be coming home to stay.

NASA announced Tuesday that Atlantis would have its permanent retirement home at Florida's Kennedy Space Center.

Christian Groups Target FAU Prof for Dismissal

A coalition of pro-Israel activists is calling for the ouster of a Florida Atlantic University professor with ties to a controversial Islamic center near campus.

Bassem Alhalabi is "a very dangerous professor who has ties to terrorists," said Joe Kaufman, head of Americans Against Hate. There is plenty of documented evidence that shows that Professor Bassem Alhalabi does not merit employment at FAU."

Kaufman's group, along with the Church of All Nations and the Christian Family Coalition, has scheduled a Thursday protest at FAU's Boca Raton campus.
