Adam Putnam Looks Back at First 100 Days in Office

On Wednesday morning, state Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam released a statement with his reflections on his first 100 days in office

Putnams team called improving Floridas health and nutrition, fostering expansion of Floridas agriculture industry into renewable energy production and preserving Floridas water quality and quantity their chiefs top three priorities and also noted he was fighting to increase consumer confidence in the states seafood.

At the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, were focused on issues that affect not only farmers and ranchers, but all Floridians, said Putnam. Nutrition, energy and water are issues that will shape our state for generations to come.

Im proud of the strides weve made in the first 100 days, added Putnam. While we still face many challenges ahead, the strength of Floridas $100 billion agriculture industry presents exciting opportunities for the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
