Democrats Go All Out to Attack Mitt Romney

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) launched an all out assault on Republican presidential hopeful former Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts on Monday.

The DNC launched a new television ad bashing Romney for alleged inconsistencies and unveiled a website hammering the Republican on the same theme. The ad is being run in five crucial states in the general election -- New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Report Blasts TSA Revolving Door; Agency Defends Security Measures

Ten years after it began operations, the Transportation Security Administration has devolved into "bureaucratic morass and mismanagement," according to a scathing new congressional report.

"Since its inception, TSA has lost its focus on transportation security. Instead it has grown into an enormous, inflexible and distracted bureaucracy, more concerned with human resource management and consolidating power," charged the report by two House committees.

Scott's State of the State set for Jan. 10 in House Chamber

Gov. Rick Scott will give the annual State of the State address before the joint session of the Florida Legislature at 11 a.m. on the first day of the 2012 session, House Speaker Dean Cannon announced.

The joint session of the Legislature will gather in the House chamber of the Capitol at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 10, 2012, for the start of the regular 60-day session.

Conservatives Continue Protest of TLC's 'All-American Muslim' Show

The Florida Family Association announced on Monday that another company has agreed not to run commercials during All-American Muslim on The Learning Channel.

Pernod Ricard USA -- which has run Kahlua ads during the show -- sent a letter to David Caton, the executive director of the FFA, in which it maintained it would not run any further ads on the show.

Sexual Harassment Claim against Hastings gets Extra 45-Day Review

The House Ethics Committee will spend another 45 days reviewing claims that U.S. Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Miramar, sexually harassed a member of his staff and sought to retaliate when she refused his advances, Politico is reporting.

Fasano, Legg, Corcoran Announce 2011 Farm Share Giveaway

Sen. Mike Fasano, R-New Port Richey, Reps. John Legg, R-New Port Richey, and Richard Corcoran, R-Port Richey, have announced the 2011 Farm Share Holiday Food Giveaway will be held Dec. 16.

The annual giveaway of fresh food donated by Florida farmers will be held at the Redeemer Community Church, 9230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey.
