A new study from the University of Florida reveals Florida's agricultural and natural resources industries still remain strong and continue to improve, even after the recession. Along with the related food industries they provided a whopping $104 billion impact on the state in 2011.

The National Rifle Association has been keeping quiet in the wake of the George Zimmerman trial, but broke its silence Wednesday after Attorney General Eric Holder criticized "Stand Your Ground" law before the NAACP Convention in Orlando on Tuesday.

A U.S. military drone plane crashed and exploded Wednesday morning at Tyndall Air Force Base, located about 12 miles east of Panama City. The QF-4 drone plane crashed on the drone runway while taking off, forcing base officials to shut down US 98 through the base. The highway is expected to remain closed for 24 hours.

Appearing in a brief Wolf Blitzer interview on CNN early Wednesday afternoon, Miami Herald reporter Marc Caputo was asked to respond to the news that singer Stevie Wonder would not appear in Florida again until the state repeals its "Stand Your Ground" initiative.

Florida isn't going to do that, Caputo told CNN's audience. It has a Republican Legislature, a Republican governor and they favor the law as it's written. "I don't think we'll be seeing Stevie Wonder in Florida ever again," he said.
