With Democratic congressional hopeful Gwen Graham headed out to Jefferson County for a fundraiser on Thursday, the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) is looking to remind voters about presidential candidates she has supported in the past. Gov. Rick Scott on Wednesday suspended Liberty County School Superintendent Gloria Gay Uzzell, whoadmitted that since taking office in January, she has run up $12,000 on a school district credit card, with interest and fees mounting.
The card has a $10,000 limit. She was arrested and charged with grand theft.

On his Politics Nation show on MSNBC on Wednesday, Al Sharpton interviewed Rachel Jeantel on her role in the George Zimmerman trial. Sharpton has been a defender of Jeantel who has been attacked on a number of fronts during the trial. During the interview, Sharpton praised Jeantel for keeping her composure during the trial.

Senate President Don Gaetz and Florida House Speaker Will Weatherford have joined forces in a letter sent Wednesday to Commissioner of Education Tony Bennett, calling for an immediate withdrawal from implementing the national assessments proposed bythe national academic consortium, Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) in favor of a Florida plan for testing of student performance, including assessments for the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards.
