Florida Democrats and Allison Tant Fall in Line Behind George Sheldon

Florida Democratic Party Chairwoman Allison Tant weighed in on Monday after former DCF Secretary George Sheldon announced he was running for that partys nomination to challenge state Attorney General Pam Bondi.

I am pleased that George Sheldon has entered the race for attorney general, Tant said. For the past three years, Attorney General Pam Bondi has put her political career over the needs of Florida families.

Tant also parroted Sheldons line about a lack of integrity in Bondis office.

George Sheldon Draws Rapid Fire from Lenny Curry

Former Deputy Attorney General George Sheldon announced earlier on Monday he was running against Attorney General Pam Bondi -- and hes already drawing fire from Florida Republicans.

Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) Chairman Lenny Curry welcomed Sheldon to the race with a few jabs.

George Sheldon Announces Bid for Attorney General

Former secretary for the Florida Department of Children and Families, George Sheldon, announced Monday he will seek the Democratic nomination to challenge Republican Attorney General Pam Bondi.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Sheldon quit his job as the assistant secretary for the Administration for Children and Families in Washington on Friday. In a 10-hour drive on Saturday, Sheldon said he called potential donors to raise the money he'll need to take on Bondi, who has already raised $1.4 million for her campaign so far.
