DCCC Starts Tying Jeb Bush to GOP Congressional Reps

Democrats have been hitting Republican congressional representatives by trying to connect them to Republican presidential candidates, namely businessman Donald Trump. But, at the end of last week, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) tried to tie former Gov. Jeb Bush, R-Fla., around the neck of U.S. Rep. Jeff Denham, R-Calif., after that California congressman announced his support.

Unemployment Drops to 5.4 Percent in Florida

Gov. Rick Scott announced in Naples on Friday that the unemployment rate in Florida dropped to 5.4 percent as almost 17,000 new jobs were created in the month. In June, the unemployment rate was 5.5 percent, the lowest it had been since March 2008.

Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is losing steam in Florida, the largest swing state in the 2016 general election, a new poll shows. Quinnipiac University released a poll of Florida voters on Thursday which shows Clinton, the favorite for the Democratic presidential nomination, underwater in the Sunshine State. A solid majority of those surveyed -- 55 percent -- view her as unfavorable while 37 percent see Clinton in a favorable light.
