On Wednesday, Florida House Speaker Steve Crisafulli, R-Merritt Island, named a new select committee to tackle health-care costs. 

U.S. Rep. Gwen Graham, D-Fla., teamed up with the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Florida chapter on Wednesday to call for cutting the health insurance tax (HIT) which was included in President Barack Obama’s federal health-care law.

Martin County School Board Member Rebecca Negron unveiled more endorsements on Monday as she continues her bid to replace U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, R-Fla., in Congress. With Murphy running for the U.S. Senate in 2016, Negron faces a crowded Republican primary.
