Rebecca Negron Reels in More Endorsements in CD 18
Martin County School Board Member Rebecca Negron unveiled more endorsements on Monday as she continues her bid to replace U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, R-Fla., in Congress. With Murphy running for the U.S. Senate in 2016, Negron faces a crowded Republican primary.
Negron reeled in the endorsements of State Attorney Bruce Colton, Chief Assistant State Attorney Thomas Bakkedahl and Martin County Public Defender Diamond Litty.
“As a state attorney, I understand the necessity for holding people and parties responsible for their actions,” said Colton. “I know that if Rebecca is elected to Congress, she will hold Washington responsible for its recent actions that have led America away from the foundation we were built upon, and serve as an advocate for our Republican beliefs, including less government regulation and helping individuals and families fulfill the American dream.”
“I am pleased to support Rebecca in her bid for Congressional District 18,” said Litty. “If elected, I know Rebecca will ensure our job market and our economy are strengthened, and she will help to uphold and enforce our constitutional rights.”
“I would like to thank State Attorney Colton, Chief Assistant State Attorney Bakkedahl and Martin County Public Defender Litty for lending me their support for my bid for U.S. Congress,” said Negron. “I look forward to the opportunity to represent our local communities in Washington, and serve as a voice for what matters most to us in the Treasure Coast. It is imperative that we drive home the message in our nation’s Capitol that we will not rest until there is true fiscal responsibility, our education systems are kept out of the hands of the federal government, and our local projects, such as the Indian River Lagoon, are taken care of.”
