I Owe This Apology to the Citizens of the Glades

For me, writing a story is like painting my living room. If I'm careful, if I lay down plastic, apply tape to the baseboards and crown molding, undercoat first and carefully apply the best paint I can find, it's probably going to make me feel pretty good. But when I cut corners, skip any of those steps, I make a terrible mess.

Jeb Bush Makes it a Family Affair in New Hampshire

Fighting to stay alive after the New Hampshire debate, Republican presidential hopeful former Gov. Jeb Bush, R-Fla., is making his campaign a family affair as he trots out members of one of America’s leading political dynasties to help his bid. 

Bush is one of a number of candidates battling for second place in New Hampshire behind businessman Donald Trump who leads the polls in the Granite State. Other Republican hopefuls in the running for second are Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, Gov. John Kasich of Ohio and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida. 

Mary Thomas Reels in Vietnam POW Endorsement

Running in the Republican primary to take on U.S. Rep. Gwen Graham, Tallahassee attorney Mary Thomas announced on Monday she had won the endorsement of former  Leon County Veterans Services Director Dale Doss, a Navy veteran who spent five years as a POW in the Vietnam War.

Ron DeSantis, Carlos Lopez-Cantera Back Congressional Term Limits Amendment

U.S. Term Limits (USTL) announced on Monday morning that two Republicans running for the U.S. Senate--U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis and Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera--signed its pledge to back a constitutional amendment on congressional term limits.
