U.S. Rep. David Jolly continues to scoop up endorsements in his race for reelection.

On Tuesday, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leargest small business association, Jolly for his re-election campaign in Florida’s 13th Congressional District. NFIB represents small and independent businesses in all 50 states and aims to help small business owners to own and operate their business without “undue government interference” and has a membership of over 325,000 small business owners nationwide.

Former presidential hopeful Dr. Ben Carson is looking to stay politically active in Florida, the state he moved to after retiring from his celebrated medical career. 

Carson spoke to the Florida delegation at a breakfast event on Tuesday at the Republican convention in Cleveland. The event was hosted by state Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam who is expected to run for governor in 2018.

Melania Trump’s highly anticipated speech at the Republican National Convention Monday night appears to have included a nearly identical paragraph from Michelle Obama’s speech at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump’s wife was describing how her parents instilled in her values about working hard and treating people with respect.

It included phrases and even precise words that were identical to the first lady's 2008 address.

Two South Florida Republicans are leading the charge on Capitol Hill to reauthorize the “Coral Reef Conservation Act" originally passed in 2000.

Ileana Ros-Lehtinen brought out the “Conserving Our Reefs And Livelihoods (CORAL) Act" last week with fellow South Florida Republican Carlos Curbelo  as well as Aumua Amata Coleman Radewagen from American Samoa and Pedro Pierluisi from Puerto Rico as co-sponsors. 

Rebecca Negron Raises $283,000 in Second Quarter

Rebecca NegronRepublican congressional hopeful Rebecca Negron raised nearly $300,000 in the second quarter of 2016, accoridng to campaign finance reports.
