Democrat Dan Gelbers eight-year career as a federal prosecutor ran the gamut. He brought charges against Cuban parrot smugglers and successfully prosecuted police officers for lying about the brutal beating death of a Puerto Rican drug dealer.

Robert Kennedy Jr. Backs Charlie Crist for Senate

Having obtained an endorsement from a Shriver in-law on Tuesday when Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger of California backed him, Gov. Charlie Crist announced a Kennedy was supporting his bid without party affiliation for the U.S. Senate.

Robert Kennedy Jr., son of the late U.S. senator and attorney general, endorsed Crist on Wednesday morning. Kennedy has been very active in public affairs in New York, namely as an environmental activist.

Alex Sink Campaign Plans to Run Two-Minute Ad in Jacksonville

Looks like state CFO Alex Sink, the Democratic gubernatorial candidate, is looking to take her two-minute ad attacking Republican rival Rick Scott thats been running in Tampa into other parts of the Sunshine State.

The response to our two-minute ad has been amazing, wrote Sink in an e-mail to supporters sent out on Wednesday morning. Now we have to make sure more Floridians see it. Its airing in Tampa tonight, so todays goal is to also get it running in Jacksonville -- one of the most hotly contested areas in the state.
