Rick Santorum Jabs Jon Huntsman and Mitt Romney in New Ad

Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania released a commercial on Tuesday jabbing former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman who announced his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination earlier in the day. Using the same theme that Huntsman has embraced -- a biker riding through the desert -- Santorum knocked the new candidate on social issues and jabbed Mitt Romney, the Republican front-runner, while he was at it.

Marco Rubio Takes the Lead in Defending Parental Notification Laws

Florida Republican U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio teamed up with one of the giants of the Senate on Tuesday to introduce a measure looking to prevent minors being taken across state lines to receive an abortion.

Rubio joined with U.S. Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, a veteran of the Senate who is under fire from the tea party and facing a serious primary challenge next year, to sponsor the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act (CIANA).

Gov. Scott Looks to Lure Chicago Mercantile Exchange to Florida

Citing a recent Wall Street Journal article where Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group Chairman Terrence Duffy bemoans a rise in Illinois' corporate income tax, Gov. Rick Scott wrote a letter last week to Duffy attempting to lure his company to Florida.

Ander Crenshaw Draws Democratic Challenger in 2012

Florida Republican U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw drew an opponent earlier this month, though it is a familiar face -- author Gary Koniz. The Jacksonville-based candidate ran against Crenshaw in 2010 as a write-in candidate with little success. He filed to run again against Crenshaw -- this time as a Democrat. While Crenshaw faced a challenge from conservative businessman Troy Stanley, who ran with no party affiliation in 2010, he faced no Democrats. Brian Michael Lieberman, with no party affiliation,has already filed to run against Crenshawin 2012.
