Lake City Pill Mill Doctor Sentenced to Two Years in Prison for Medicaid Fraud

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Thursday that Judge Leandra G. Johnson of the 3rdJudicial Circuit Court of Floridahas sentenced Dr. Yong Am Park, 68, to two years inprison for Medicaid fraud and prescription drug-related charges.

Park was convicted of three counts of Medicaid fraud, five counts ofprescription fraud, two counts of unauthorized possession of a prescriptionform, one count of scheme to defraud, and one count of selling a controlledsubstance.

N.Y. Mayor Bloomberg Endorses Obama

He said he was going to stay completely out of the presidential race, but New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg -- his city still partially submerged, without power and facing a rising death toll from Hurricane Sandy -- has endorsed President Obama.

Americans for Prosperity: 'Incompetent' Palm Beach Elections Supervisor Susan Bucher Must Resign

The Florida director of a conservative advocacy group is demanding the resignation of the Palm Beach County elections supervisor after reports Tuesday that yet another ballot print snafu has struck the county that Time magazine once called the Capital of Florida Corruption.

The Palm Beach Post reported Tuesday that some 500 faulty absentee ballots were mailed out by Democratic elections supervisor Susan Buchers office. The ballots contain duplicates of three Amendment questions, and omit another one entirely.

Bill Montford: Add Slots in Early Learning Programs

Sen. Bill Montford said Wednesday he's considering trying to get the Legislature to earmark money for more slots in school readiness programs statewide.

The state's 31 early learning coalitions were stunned this summer by a change in the formula for how the money for the programs gets allocated causing some programs to see their money diverted unexpectedly.
