May Job Numbers To Be Released Friday
Florida's job numbers for May are slated to be released Friday, according to a recent tweet sent by Gov. Rick Scott. The report will be released at 10 a.m.
In April, the Sunshine State added 16,700 private-sector jobs, bringing the state's unemployment rate to 7.3 percent. April's unemployment rate reflected a decrease of 0.3 percent from March.

Gwen Graham Gets the Support of Two Major National Democrats
Gwen Graham announced on Thursday that her bid to defeat U.S. Rep. Steve Southerland, R-Fla., won the endorsements of two prominent national Democrats -- U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York and U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana.
Graham, the daughter of Bob Graham who served as governor of Florida and in the U.S. Senate, posted the news on Twitter that she was proud to have the support of the two senators who she called role models for all women in public service.
