The Campaign for Liberty, chaired by former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, will be holding a political training event in Tampa on Sept. 14. Over the weekend, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., one of the leading Republican presidential possibilities in 2016, pitched the event in an email sent out by the Florida Campaign for Liberty.

On Monday morning, former U.S. Rep. Allen West, who has opened the door to a political comeback in 2016, hammered President Barack Obama as a progressive socialist and attacked his record on education. West also linked Obama to segregationist Democrats from the civil rights era like former Gov. George Wallace of Alabama and former Gov. The exhumation comes after several setbacks in the course of the research team's efforts to exhume bodies at the school. Earlier this summer, Secretary of State Ken Detzner rejected the researchers' request for a permit to exhume bodies, saying his department did not have the authority to grant such a request.
U.S. Rep. Steve Southerland, R-Fla., headed to Panama City Friday where he toured Port Panama City. The event, held by the National Federation of Independent Business/Florida (NFIB), brought Southerland togetherwith small-business owners to discuss the challenges they face due to unnecessary government regulation.
