Ted Yoho Opposes Military Action Against Syria

From his perch on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, U.S. Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Fla., expressed his opposition to military action against the Syrian regime.

The recent news of the White Houses announcement to possibly take military action in Syria has sent waves throughout our nation, Yoho said on Thursday. While the president aims to intervene in Syrias internal conflict, I maintain that it is neither the role of the United States federal government to do so nor the responsibility of the American taxpayer to fund such an unconstitutional act.

Obama Offers New Executive Actions on Gun Control

Although the drive for gun control collapsed in the Senate, President Barack Obama added two more executive actions to a list of 23 steps that the White House determined could be taken to reduce gun violence.

One of the new policies will end a government practice that allows military weapons sold or donated by the U.S. to allies to be re-imported into the United States by private entities. Under this new policy, only museums and other entities like the government will be eligible to re-import military-grade firearms.
