Trey Radel Arrested for Cocaine Possession
U.S. Rep. Trey Radel, R-Fla., had a run-in with the law in Washington, D.C., where hewas arrested Oct. 29 for cocaine possession according to D.C. Superior Court documents.
Radel was charged with misdemeanor possession of cocaine on Tuesday and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.

Joe Martinez Running for Congress
Former Miami Dade County Commission Chairman Joe Martinez will officially announce his candidacy for the Republican nomination for the 26th Congressional District of Florida on Thursday, according to a press release.
The district extends from Kendall to Key West.
Martinez's name had beenfloating as a potential nominee for the 2014 election since Rep. Joe Garcia, D-Fla., defeated incumbent Republican Rep. David Rivera in 2012.

Florida Crime Rate Drops
The crime rate in the Sunshine State is dropping, according to a report released Tuesday by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
The report showed Florida's crime volume had dropped 5.2 percent compared to the first six month of 2012.
