
Bill Posey Demands Eric Holder Name Special Prosecutor for IRS Abuse Scandal
U.S. Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla., was the point man in Congress this week as Republicans demanded U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the Internal Revenue Service for targeting conservatives and tea party groups. More than 50 members of Congress signed a letter Posey sent to Holder on Wednesday demanding action. Poseys proposal has the support of U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

Florida TaxWatch Shows Benefits of University Research Parks
Florida TaxWatch released a report on Friday which shows the nine university research parks in the Sunshine State, more than any other state, create jobs, help startups and grow the economy.

Congressional hopeful and state Sen. Lizbeth Benacquisto, R-Fort Myers, received the endorsement of U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, on Friday.
Javier Manjarres of the Shark Tank reported Friday morning that the Utah congressman appeared on the "Day Break with Drew Steele" radio show to announce his support for Benacquisto, who is currently seeking the Republican nomination in the race to replace former congressman Trey Radel.

Florida House Leadership Wants to Reform Driver License Suspensions for Nontraffic Reasons
The leadership of the Florida House unveiled a bill offering a path to reinstatement for Floridians burdened by massive fines due to suspended and revoked driver licenses after a study from the Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability (OPPAGA) found around 1.3 million drivers were suspended or had revoked licenses in the past year with around 167,000 of those for reasons that did not involve driving.
