Over the last five years, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio has risen from a former state legislative leader who was an underdog to win a U.S. Senate seat to a possible presidential contender, a phenomenal ascent over such a short period.

Rick Scott: Florida Unemployment Rate Dropped to 5.6 Percent in February

Gov. Rick Scott announced on Friday that almost 15,000 jobs were added in Florida last month, lowering the state unemployment rate from 5.7 percent in January to 5.6 percent in February.

Jeanette Nuñez Chosen to Lead Florida Hispanic Legislative Caucus

The Florida Hispanic Legislative Caucus named its leaders for the next two years on Thursday.

State Rep. Jeanette Nuz, R-Miami, was chosen to serve as chair while Sen. Darren Soto, D-Kissimmee, is the vice chair.
