On Tuesday, Gov. Rick Scott, R-Fla., looked back to one of his legislative accomplishments from last year, noting almost 7 million Floridians have saved $196 million due to his effort to slash car registration fees.
Families should be able to keep more of what they earn, and that is why we have remained focused on cutting taxes and fees that directly impact all Floridians, Scott said on Tuesday. Last year, we reduced the fee on vehicle registrations which has already saved Floridians over $196 million since last September."

While Medicaid expansion faces the opposition of House Speaker Steve Crisafulli, R-Merritt Island, Senate President Andy Gardiner, R-Orlando, and a majority in the upper chamber support it.
