Calling it the most important issue I have ever worked on in 30 years of advocacy, John Stemberger, the president of Florida Family Action, rallied social and religious conservatives against a proposal to allow same-sex couples to adopt children in Florida. The Senate is expected to vote on the issue later on Wednesday.

Florida TaxWatch Looks at Tax Cut Proposals
Even as the two chambers of the Florida Legislature struggle to reconcile their budget differences--which are more than $4 billion--Florida TaxWatch released a report on Wednesday looking at some of the tax cut proposals in play. Florida TaxWatch continued to support Gov. Rick Scotts cuts to cell phone and TV service taxes and urged the House to support killing the manufacturing sales tax.
