Myth-Busting Effort in Scott's Office Reaches Seven

The myth busters in the governors office have added a couple of additional talking points to efforts to dispel tales that have circulated about Gov. Rick Scott.

While the list remains a work in progress, the original five myths have seen some tweaking since they were first reported in August as an effort by Chief of Staff Steve MacNamara to help bolster Floridians' knowledge and perception of the governor.

Florida's Legislators Fall In for Veterans Day Celebrations

Florida lawmakers are appearing at Veterans Day events across Florida on Friday.

Gov. Rick Scott and first lady Ann Scott were scheduled to attend the Veterans Day Celebration at Cambier Park, 8th St. South at 6th Ave. South in Old Naples, at 10:15 a.m.

Members of the Florida Senate Republican Caucus are scheduled to attend the following events:

Sen. Charlie Dean, R-Inverness, Inverness Veterans Parade, 10-11:30 a.m., at the Old Court House Square, Inverness.

Israel Next Stop on Rick Scott's Travels to Promote Florida Business

Gov. Rick Scott and Enterprise Florida are heading next to Israel, which does more than $200 million a year in trade with the Sunshine State.

Scott, who teamed with Enterprise Florida to attend a tourism conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil, last month, announced Tuesday he is off with the Orlando-based public-private economic development organization to Israel for a similar trade mission in December.
