Representatives from Florida's immigrant community, traveling to the capital from throughout the Sunshine State, will conduct a continous three-day vigil, beginning at 4 p.m. Monday and running through Wednesday until 4 p.m. They will ask members of the state Senate to stop Arizona-like immigration bills -- particularly before the Budget Committee votes Wednesday, April 13, on SB 2040.

By mid-afternoon Monday the location of the vigil near the Capitol was still to be determined.

More Muck Unearthed at South Florida Water Management District

The shenanigans at South Florida Water Management District just keep on coming.

This time they involve bad ethics and bad purchasing practice (favoritism in selecting the contractor), bad equipment ($1.5 million in pumps that failed after being installed), bad follow-up (no attempt to collect on the pumps' five-year warranty), and abysmally bad decision-making that makes a joke of fiscal stewardship.

Firebrand Glenn Beck Soon To Be On-Air History at Fox

The official story is, Fox News' conservative firebreather Glenn Beck will "transition off his daily program" later this year into something else for the network -- something vaguely described as "digital platforms."

Boos or Cheers? Only Rick Scott, the Tampa Bay Rays and a Sold-Out Tropicana Field Know For Sure

Like Tampa Bay Rays pitcher David Price, Rick Scott was making his first opening day start.

The lithe, bald right-hander took the mound at a sold-out Tropicana Field against the Baltimore Orioles with his trademark smile and laser focus.

His ceremonial first pitch? A big lollipop. Outside.

Was he booed or cheered? Cascading boos were predicted. But to be honest, unless you were there, you couldn't tell. The pitch was shown on TV in a replay -- the sound was muted, distorted or plain turned off on the field.

Video Peep: Tim Tebow Finally in Jockey Tight Whites

Nothing will help Gator Gals shed those basketball blues quicker than a glimpse of the Great Gator peeling off his shirt and strutting his stuff in Jockey tight white.

You would think.

Trouble is, the long-awaited Jockey underwear commercial featuring a buffed-up Tim Tebow, who visited the Florida Legislature earlier this year, is a little bit of a cheat. It's been released just this week, we'll see it on TV, but something is very wrong.
