Eric Holder Impeachment Effort Launched by Conservatives
The American Conservative Union (ACU) is leading a campaign to impeach U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder due to his actions after George Zimmerman was found not guilty in the death of Trayvon Martin.
Gregg Keller of the ACU sent out a message to supporters on Thursday announcing the campaign.

Florida's Unemployment Rate Remains at 7.1 Percent
On Thursday afternoon, Gov. Rick Scott announced that the unemployment rate in June remained at 7.1 percent, the same as it had been in May. During June, 2,300 private-sector jobs were created in the Sunshine State. The national unemployment average for June stood at 7.6 percent.

Rick Scott Names Interim DCF Secretary
On Thursday, Gov. Rick Scott named Esther Jacobo as interim Secretary of the Department of Children and Families to replace David Wilkins who has resigned the post. Jacobo had been regional managing director for the department covering Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. Her background also includes being an assistant state attorney in Miami-Dade and being DCFs deputy director of Childrens Legal Services (CLS) and serving in the state attorneys office as division chief of the Domestic Crimes Unit.

RPOF Revives 'Empty Chair Charlie' Attack on Charlie Crist
The Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) shows no signs of slowing down its attacks on former Gov. Charlie Crist, a former Republican who joined the Democrats in 2012 and is expected to run for his new partys gubernatorial nomination. On Thursday afternoon, the RPOF unveiled the relaunching of a website which was created by the Florida Democratic Party in 2008 to attack Crist who was then being considered by John McCains campaign for the vice presidential spot on the Republican ticket.
