Jonathan Karl over at ABC News threw some cold water on Florida Republican U.S. Sen. Marco Rubios prospects of ending up as Mitt Romneys running mate. Karl is reporting that Rubio has not yet been vetted by the Romney camp. Knowledgeable Republican sources tell me that Rubio is not being vetted by Mitt Romneys vice presidential search team. He has not been asked to complete any questionnaires or been asked to turn over any financial documents typically required of potential vice presidential candidates, Karl wrote.

Already removed from the bench, former Orange-Osceola circuit judge, N. James Turner has been suspended from practicing law for 90 days. The Florida Supreme Court issued the order on Monday. The conditional guilty plea and consent judgment for discipline are approved and respondent is suspended from the practice of law for 90 days, the court order stated. Respondent has advised that he has not commenced practicing law in the months since he was removed from his judicial office; therefore this suspension is effective immediately.

Another lawsuit will be filed against the states effort to clean non-U.S. citizens from the list of registered voters. Four voting and civil rights groups -- Fair Elections Legal Network, Project Vote, LatinoJustice PRLDEF and the Advancement Project -- released a statement Monday that they will hold a media conference in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday to announce the lawsuit. The lawsuit will seek statewide protection for eligible voters from being purged from the voter rolls, a release from the groups stated.

While Mitt Romney has won enough delegates in the primaries and caucuses to claim the Republican presidential nomination, Ron Paul continues to pick up delegates for when the GOP holds its convention in Tampa come August. Paul picked up 21 out of 25 delegates up for grabs at conventions in Iowa over the weekend. Rick Santorum, who nosed out Romney to win more popular votes than any of the other candidates in Iowa, pulled out of the race earlier in the election cycle.
