Gov. Rick Scott is turning his sites to Minnesota, looking to bring jobs to Florida. On Thursday, Scott sent a letter to Minnesota business leaders arguing that Florida offers a better business climate than their state and encouraging them to move their operations to the Sunshine State. Scotts team also released a chart showing Florida has a better education system than Minnesota.

Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin can count on the support of his running mate if he sets his sights on the Republican presidential nomination. In an interview with CBS News on Thursday morning, Ann Romney, wife of defeated Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, said she and her husband are behind Ryan if he runs for president in 2016. There are some great candidates out there, Ann Romney told CBS News. Mitt and I are always very, very partial to Paul Ryan, but we dont even know if hes going to run.

On Thursday, Florida TaxWatch released a study that finds Floridas economy can expand with more Foreign Direct Investment. Right now, 239,500 Floridians are employed by FDI companies, making it sixth in the nation. Foreign Direct Investment provides Florida with an opportunity to grow the states economy, said Dominic Calabro, the president and CEO of Florida TaxWatch, on Thursday. The study can be found here.

Three Florida Republicans in Congress -- Tom Rooney, Dennis Ross and Ted Yoho -- teamed up on Wednesday to take part in a town hall meeting on agriculture. Ross used the forum to showcase the Legal Agricultural Workforce Act, a bill he introduced creating a new time of visa to allow aliens to work in agriculture while enacting strict security standards to protect Americans.

A new national poll finds Americans trust Republicans more than Democrats on gun control. Rasmussen Reports unveiled a poll of likely voters on Thursday which finds 43 percent of those surveyed say the Republicans can be trusted more on gun control while 41 percent lean toward the Democrats on the issue and 17 percent are undecided. The poll of 1,000 likely voters was taken from May 23-24 and had a margin of error of +/- 3 percent.

The Republican leadership in Tallahassee continues to rally behind Bob Cortes to challenge Rep. Karen Castor Dentel, D-Maitland. On Wednesday, Rep. Bryan Nelson, R-Apopka, endorsed Cortes over Scott Sturgill for the Republican nomination to take on Castor Dentel in 2014. Nelson joins a host of Republican legislators -- including House Majority Leader Steve Precourt, R-Orlando -- in backing Cortes.

In a unanimous decision, theU.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit has overturned the decision of a federal trial court that declared unconstitutional Florida Gov. Rick Scott's decision to drug test all 85,000 state workers employed by agencies under his control, and all applicants to those positions. The three-judge panel agreed that it was unconstitutional to test all of those employees, but said there could be good reason to test occupants of, and applicants for, certain "safety- sensitive positions."

On Wednesday, the Manufacturing Institute recognized 11 members of the Florida College System (FCS) for making the M-list which the organization defines as high schools, community colleges, technical centers and universities that organize coursework around industry standards. Florida has more schools on the M-list than any other state. One of Gov.
