Florida Sen. Dorothy Hukills, R-Port Orange, proposal cutting the state communication services tax (CST) by 2 percent flew through the Communications, Energy, and Public Utilities Committee on Tuesday, passing with unanimous support. Hukill insists her proposal will save Florida taxpayers more than $240 million in cable, satellite TV, fax and cellphone charges.
This will be a statewide savings of $242 million per year, said Hukill on Tuesday. It is my hope that this will bring monthly relief for Floridas families.
