Senate President Targets Fantasy Sports

Florida Senate President Andy Gardiner is exploring what the state can do to shut down daily fantasy sports, even as federal prosecutors are probing the online industry that has taken the nation by storm and drawn accusations of illegal gambling.

Gardiner has asked his lawyers to look into fantasy sports, in which players pay entry fees to draft "teams" that compete against each other for cash prizes based on the actual performance of players.

Kevin McCarthy was factually right -- if grammatically and politically wrong -- when he told Sean Hannity that the House's Benghazi committee demonstrated Hillary Clinton was "untrustable." The Clinton-pleasers in the media like NBC's Andrea Mitchell almost glowed as they proclaimed McCarthy had offered a "political lifeline" to Clinton by admitting to a political agenda to get at her, using that tragedy.

Florida Supreme Court Orders Oral Argument on Medical Marijuana

The Florida Supreme Court will be taking up an oral argument to legalize medical marijuana in Florida, according to an order posted to its website Wednesday. The court-ordered arguments will take place at 9 a.m. Dec. 8. Each side will have 20 minutes for oral arguments.
