In the growing tempest of our social battlefield -- and the growing intolerance of special interests who preach tolerance -- Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student Kyle Kashuv has been caught in the cultural crossfire.

Weeks following the announcement that he had been accepted to Harvard, a controversy erupted. Kyle found himself on the receiving end of that now-common practice among social activists (on both ends of the political spectrum), the social media proctology exam.

Thousands of adoring fans, taking shelter in an Orlando arena from torrential rain, welcomed President Donald Trump on Tuesday night and gave him the backdrop he craved as he officially launched his 2020 “Keep America Great” campaign.

“As long as you keep the steam in place, we have a tremendous way to go. Our future has never looked brighter or sharper,” Trump said. “The American Dream is bigger, stronger than ever before.”

Health Care 'Shared Savings' off to a Slow Start

June 18, 2019 - 7:00am

If people are willing to shop for cars and homes to save money, they’d be willing to shop around for their health care, right?

If early results of “shared savings” programs in Florida’s state-employee health insurance program are any indication, the answer actually could be no.

The early results show that despite efforts to publicize the programs, they have had little impact on the $2.6 billion health-care program for current and former state employees.
