The Washington Post is reporting that longtime First Coast political operative Susan Wiles, best known for her work with Jeb Bush and more recently with Rick Scotts campaign last year, has joined up with a potential Republican presidential candidate -- Jon Huntsman, the former governor of Utah who is now serving as ambassador to China. Wiles joins an impressive team which includes a number of former staffers to John McCain.

During a three-hour meeting Thursday morning with Enterprise Florida, Gov. Rick Scott said he will bring the public-private partnership and two other state agencies into a newly created department of commerce -- and house the department right next door to his office where he can give it the attention it deserves.
