Pennsylvania holds its Republican presidential primary on April 24 -- and Mitt Romney is trying to pry away some of the Keystone States 72 delegates from favorite son Rick Santorum.

On Tuesday, Romney announced that he had won the backing of some of Pennsylvanias leading Republicans, including three congressmen: Charlie Dent, Jim Gerlach and Bill Shuster.

Eight Florida Muslims have filed employment-discrimination complaints against an Orlando taxi company, alleging a hostile work environment.

The Arab-American employees claim that Star Taxi discriminated against them and their Islam religion by prohibiting them from praying.

Obama's Energy Chief Hits Reverse on Gas Price Gaffe

President Obama's Energy secretary, Steven Chu, on Tuesday backed away from his previously stated desire to see gas prices rise to match European levels in order to motivate alternative-energy research, the Washington Examiner reported.

Amid steadily rising prices at the pump and falling poll numbers for his boss, Chu is now telling Congress he wants gas prices to fall for the sake of the economy.

Bolstering a Goldman Sachs report on the Sunshine State's improving economy, Business Week listed three Florida cities as having the best prospects for tech-job growth.

Agriculture Leads Florida Job Gains; Rick Scott 'Pleased' with Trend

Floridas unemployment rate dropped to its lowest mark since March 2009, with numbers for January down 10 percent since November, according to the state Department of Economic Opportunity.

For the first month of 2012, the seasonally adjusted unemployment mark for the Sunshine State was 9.6 percent, down from 9.9 percent a month earlier and 10.9 percent a year earlier.

Gov. Rick Scott stated he was pleased with the latest numbers.

John Mica Turns Up Heat on TSA for Airport 'Opt Out'

U.S. Rep. John Mica turned up the heat on the Transportation Security Administration Tuesday, prodding the agency to allow more airports to privatize their screening operations.

Speaking at Orlando-Sanford International Airport, whose "opt-out" application was denied by the TSA last year, Mica said the federal agency "attempted to shut down this cost-effective and more efficient screening model for airports."

Sixteen airports operate under the Screening Partnership Program, and others are interested in doing so, but Mica said the TSA has dragged its feet.
