Florida lawmakers want to give residents a tax break for a few days this summer.
They are proposing another back-to-school tax holiday in August. The legislation eliminates state and local sales taxes on such items as clothes, shoes and school supplies.
This years version of the bill also wipes out sales taxes on certain electronics, including laptops and tablet computers costing up to $750.

'Anti-Shariah Law' Passes Florida House
Legislation designed to prevent any foreign legal principles from being used in state courts passed the Florida House Thursday.
HB 351, sponsored by Rep. Larry Metz, R-Yalaha,has been widely dubbed the anti-Shariah law.
Supporters argued the bill is a preventive measure to ensure foreign law does not infiltrate the states family law courts.
Opponents called it a solution in search of a problem and said there has never been a case where someones constitutional rights were diminished by foreign law.
