Rubio made it official on Monday, telling George Stephanopoulos from ABC News that he was entering the presidential race.

U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphys, D-Fla., team weighed in on Monday after reports emerged that U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., would announce on Monday night that he was running for president and not a second term in the Senate. Murphy announced last month he was running for the Senate regardless of what Rubio did.

Sen. Marco Rubio just announced hes running for president, Josh Wolf, Murphys campaign manager, emailed supporters on Monday. That means he wont be running against Patrick Murphy for United States Senate in 2016!
