Patrick Murphy's Team Takes Last Shot at Marco Rubio

U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphys, D-Fla., team weighed in on Monday after reports emerged that U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., would announce on Monday night that he was running for president and not a second term in the Senate. Murphy announced last month he was running for the Senate regardless of what Rubio did.

Sen. Marco Rubio just announced hes running for president, Josh Wolf, Murphys campaign manager, emailed supporters on Monday. That means he wont be running against Patrick Murphy for United States Senate in 2016!

Frankly, it couldn't come a moment sooner. People in Florida are ready for a leader they can count on in the Senate, Wolf added before showcasing a farewell card the Murphy campaign was gathering signatures for. Marco Rubio is out, and were so thankful that hes taking his anti-marriage equality, Social Security and Medicare-cutting agenda with him.
