Our elected officials at the state and local level drop everything in the hours, days and weeks following the horror of a terrorist attack to show up. They set up makeshift offices to make themselves available to the community, they light candles at prayer services and meet with the grieving families.  I am sure they do these things because they care and because their presence somehow reassures people that someone is in charge and taking care of things.  

On Tuesday, businessman and Army veteran Todd Wilcox, now running for the Republican nomination in Florida’s  U.S. Senate race, replied to Nick Tomboulides from US Term Limits who took aim at him in an email on Monday for refusing to sign his group’s term limits pledge. Wilcox’s response is included below followed by Toumboulides’ message:

I couldn't agree more with the principle on which US Term Limits was founded: citizen legislators, not career politicians.

Our enemies are waging a war we must not continue to ignore. The loss of life, the brutal injuries and the destruction that have rocked Brussels are unconscionable, and we as a people must decide that enough is enough.
 
Their soldiers don't march in lock step and they don't answer to a single general. What they lack in conventional organization, they more than make up for in savagery and disregard for human life. Paris, San Bernardino and now Brussels - their only pattern is that of opportunities seized in the void of real American leadership.
 

President Obama will deliver his final State of the Union Address tonight. As he and his administration begin to cobble together a legacy worthy of the history books, he will attempt to sell the American people on a star-spangled list of Washington's accomplishments over the past seven years.

I strongly oppose any gun control laws that restrict or infringe upon the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans. I am a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) because I believe that law-abiding citizens of this country have a constitutional right to keep and bear arms in the protection of themselves, their families and their liberty.

The blood of the‭ ‬129‭ ‬victims in the Paris attack is on‭ ‬President Barack Obama’s hands and is a direct result of his failed policies in Iraq.
