Towards the end of last week, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla. and U.S. Rep. Neal Dunn, R-Fla., led the entire Florida congressional delegation in urging U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis to ensure that the recent Interior Department offshore proposal does not “adversely affect military readiness and training activities off of Florida’s coasts.”

More than 50 members of Congress, including majorities of both the Florida and Texas congressional delegations, called on Congress to pass agricultural disaster relief before Christmas as part of a supplemental funding bill. 

Over the weekend, Florida’s two U.S. senators--Democrat Bill Nelson and Republican Marco Rubio--led nearly all members of the Florida congressional delegation in urging the leaders of the Senate and House appropriations committees to provide additional resources for hurricane recovery efforts in Florida.
