Miami Republicans Again Deny Second Amendment Rights

December 8, 2017 - 10:00am

Our founders knew that it was a natural human right to own and use firearms for self-preservation and included the Second Amendment to the Constitution to protect that right. Whether you live in Miami or Pensacola, citizens should always have the right to protect themselves and their families. Law enforcement does a great job protecting citizens but there are times where people can be in imminent danger and cannot wait for law enforcement to be there in what could be a matter of seconds before someone could face death from an armed criminal.

Time for Real Transparency in Tallahassee

July 31, 2017 - 8:45am

Our elections are supposed to be the greatest opportunity to make our voices heard in deciding who we send to Tallahassee. June 8, 2017 - 3:45pm

We are now in day two of a three-day special session called by Governor Scott, Speaker Corcoran and Senate President Negron. Rick Scott Plays Mob Enforcer for his Corporate Welfare Racket

February 15, 2017 - 9:45am

Gov. Rick Scott is attacking state House members who voted last week for a bill to eliminate failing corporate welfare programs like Enterprise Florida. It is hard to believe but Scott is going to the representatives’ districts and publicly attacking them for standing on free market principles. Of course, the governor claims he is on a “jobs” tour to promote his failed economic incentive programs but, coincidentally, his schedule puts him in the districts of the representatives whom he has targeted for revenge.

Why I'm Leaving the Libertarian Party and Joining the GOP

June 8, 2016 - 12:30pm

I will always espouse the ideals of libertarianism. I am a libertarian by nature and could not comprehend another way to bring about positive change in our society. However, I have learned over the course of several years that while the ideology is sound and right, the party that surrounds the ideology is no better than any other and in some ways can never bring about the change we need.
