A poll released on Tuesday shows Amendment 2, which would expand medical marijuana use in Florida, would pass by the skin of its teeth if the vote were held today. The poll offers insights on other issues impacting the Sunshine State as well.

Public Policy Pollings (PPP) new poll shows Amendment 2 getting 61 percent support, while 33 percent of those surveyed are opposed to it. The proposed amendment needs 60 percent on the November ballot to pass.

Florida Cabinet Incumbents Hold Lead Over Democratic Rivals

Public Policy Polling (PPP), a firm with connections to prominent Democrats, released a poll Tuesday showing all three Republicans in the Florida Cabinet in solid shape as they look for second terms in November.

Despite facing two opponents in November, the poll finds Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi with a comfortable lead over her rivals.

Charlie Crist Holds Slight Lead Over Rick Scott in Democratic Poll

A new poll from Public Policy Polling (PPP), a firm with connections to prominent Democrats, shows former Gov. Charlie Crist ahead of Gov. Rick Scott with a lead within the margin of error. Most recent polls have shown Scott with a slight lead over Crist.

The poll, released Tuesday, shows Crist taking 42 percent while Scott takes 39 percent. Libertarian Adrian Wyllie gets 8 percent in the poll. In that scenario, 11 percent of those surveyed are undecided.

Joe Garcia, D-Fla., in what is expected to be one of the most competitive congressional races in the nation come November.

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., who is looking at running for the presidency in 2016, announced on Tuesday that he is backing Curbelo over Garcia.
