After 10 Glorious Years, Sunshine State News and I Are Passing the Baton

You probably can't imagine how much fun I've had at Sunshine State News over the last 10 years. I don't think anybody could.

The progressive drive to broadly define and thoroughly eradicate political "corruption" has corrupted politics. But discord is not altogether pandemic in Washington, and last week a unanimous Supreme Court, in this term's most important decision, limited the discretion prosecutors have to criminalize politics.
It's unfathomable to me that the Everglades Foundation can continue to claim “hypersalinity” is killing seagrass in Florida Bay -- proposing to “send water south” from Lake Okeechobee to save the bay.
For many parents, the realities of the Holocaust are so gruesome that we often wrestle with how early in our children's lives they should be exposed to the horrors that transpired across Europe's concentration camps and ghettos in the 1930s and 1940s.
But of course Bill Clinton wants his wife to become president of the United States and make history as the nation's first female commander in chief.
It seems odd to find heroes in the middle of a crisis that has no immediate solution.
As the late, great poet and author Maya Angelou said, “When someone shows you who they are, believe them; the first time.”
Given their arrogance, pomposity and habitual absurdities, it is hard not to feel a certain satisfaction with the comeuppance that Brexit has delivered to the unaccountable European Union bureaucrats in Brussels.

U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson does diddly in Washington, but when there's something going on back home, he's a master at hanging out with the drama.
Hopefully, those most interested in the preponderance of algae blooms on the Treasure Coast take the time to actually read the results of the algae monitoring put out by the Department of Environmental Protection. The DEP provides a nice map and the sites that the samples were taken from are numbered on the map.
