Rick Santorum Continues to Lead Mitt Romney in Michigan

A fourth poll finds that Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum leads the GOP pack in Michigan, which holds its primary on Tuesday, Feb. 28.

Santorum tops a Mitchell/Rosetta Stone poll taken by Michigan Information & Research Service with 34 percent. Mitt Romney, who won the Michigan primary in 2008 and whose father served as governor of the Great Lakes State during the 1960s, places second with 25 percent. Ron Paul comes in third with 11 percent followed by Newt Gingrich with 5 percent. Twenty-five percent of those surveyed are undecided.

Rick Santorum Now Leads Mitt Romney in Ohio

A Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday finds Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum has moved ahead of Mitt Romney in the pivotal state of Ohio, which holds its primary on March 6.

The poll of likely primary voters has Santorum on top in the Buckeye State with 36 percent, followed by Romney with 29 percent and Newt Gingrich in third with 20 percent. Ron Paul lags in the single digits, taking 9 percent in the poll. However, Ohio Republicans remain up for grabs -- with 50 percent of those surveyed open to changing their minds before the primary.

Conservatives Propel Rick Santorum to Top of National Poll

A national poll unveiled on Tuesday morning finds that Rick Santorum leads the pack of Republican presidential hopefuls looking to knock off Barack Obama in November.

Santorum takes 30 percent of a New York Times/CBS News poll of likely primary voters with Mitt Romney in second place with 27 percent. Ron Paul places third with 12 percent followed by Newt Gingrich with 10 percent. A New York Times/CBS News poll taken last month had Romney in front with 28 percent followed by Gingrich with 21 percent, Santorum with 16 percent and Paul with 15 percent.

Bill Nelson in Dead Heat With Connie Mack in New Poll

A poll released on Tuesday finds that Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson will face a stiff challenge to win a third term in November.

The poll of likely Florida voters from Rasmussen Reports shows that Nelson, who has been on the public stage for four decades, fails to break 50 percent against any of the three leading Republican candidates and is tied with U.S. Rep. Connie Mack whose father held the seat for two terms before Nelson.
